Talk about my Favourite.....
Yeaa... I used to start with my favourite artist. Maybe people think that I'm a little bit childish, but I don't care how people think about me, as long as my post not make people feel angry with me. As long as it is not include racist, religion and politics topic.
** Number One (1) **
I started to love their music when I was in Standard 4 (year 1999), when the first time I watched their Uptown Girl video clip in Malaysia MTV Top 10 Chart. They are from Ireland, 3 was best friends from Sligo and another 2 was from Dublin. They are Brian McFadden, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan, they are WESTLIFE.
But, before Westlife being created...Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Shane Filan, along with fellow Sligo men (Derrick Lacey, Graham Keighron and Michael Garrett) were part of a six-member pop vocal group called Six as One, then they changed in 1997 to IOYOU.
Louis Walsh, the manager of fellow Irish boy band Boyzone, came to know the group after he was contacted by Shane Filan's mother, but the group failed to secure a BMG record deal with Simon Cowell.
Cowell told Walsh: " You are going to have fire at least three of them. They have great voices, but they are the ugliest band I have ever seen in my life." Three members of the band were told they would not be part of the new group, and auditions were held in Dublin where Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden were recruited.
The
new group, formed on 3 July 1998, was renamed Westside but that name was
already in use by another band, so it was changed to Westlife. Brian McFadden also changed the spelling of his name to Bryan to make
it easier to sign autographs. Boyzone singer Ronan Keating was brought in to co-manage the group
with Walsh. The band then released an EP titled Swear It Again.
Unfortunately, in March 2004, Brian McFadden have left the group to spend more time with his family and work on solo projects. He subsequently began a solo career and decided to revert the spelling og his first name back to original 'Brian'. Following his departure from Westlife, Brian released his debut album "Irish Son" (2004) and "Set In Stone" (2008).
Westlife continued their career without Brian. In October 2011, they annouched their intention to split in 2012, following their reatest Hits Tour and the released of their Greatest hits album.
After Westlife disbanded, it was announched that Shane Filan has released his debut solo album "You and Me" (2013).
